Beer cocktail with lemon wedge


Craft Irish whiskey meets malt beer in this cocktail. The balanced sipper gets sweetness and color from cherry liqueur and demerara sugar syrup. To take it up a smoky notch, add a few spritzes of a peaty whisky mist to the final product.


  • ½ oz Irish whiskey
  • ½ oz cherry liqueur
  • ½ oz demerara syrup
  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 dash bitters
  • malt beer
  • single-malt scotch, to mist
  • garnish: lemon wedge
  • garnish: cherry


Add all the ingredients except the scotch into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a highball glass over ice.

Spray the scotch as a mist over top. Garnish with a skewered lemon wedge and cherry.
