Founded in 1997 by Arturo Lomelí in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Clase Azul México was inspired by a vision to make creations as exquisite as Mexico itself. Each of their decanters is skillfully handcrafted, making every piece a unique work of art.

Today, Clase Azul México’s exceptional tequilas and mezcals are celebrated in over 90 countries. This global recognition reflects the brand’s unwavering dedication to preserving tradition and artistry. From the iconic design of their decanters to the unparalleled quality of the spirits they hold, Clase Azul is a testament to the magic and beauty of Mexican culture.

In 2022, the brand began to share the warmth of Mexican hospitality with the opening of Clase Azul La Terraza Los Cabos in San José del Cabo. This luxury destination features a boutique, a restaurant, mixology with Clase Azul spirits at El Bar, and A Taste of Culture—an immersive tasting experience that pairs Clase Azul icons with reinterpretations of traditional Mexican dishes.

Clase Azul México’s commitment extends beyond its spirits, craftsmanship, and hospitality. Through their nonprofit organization, Fundación Causa Azul A.C., established in 2012, the company collaborates with public, private, and social organizations to protect the cultural identity of Mexico’s artisan communities while improving their quality of life.

This dedication to sustainability and ethical practices has earned Clase Azul México the prestigious Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury, a globally recognized certification for luxury brands that prioritize environmental responsibility and transparency. This recognition underscores the brand’s efforts to minimize its environmental impact and uphold social responsibility in all aspects of its operations.

From their exquisite spirits and handcrafted decanters to their efforts in philanthropy, Clase Azul México continues to craft a legacy of artistry, tradition, and care for the planet.

CLASE AZUL’S ICONIC CREATIONS

TEQUILAS

Grown in Los Altos de Jalisco, Clase Azul’s agave plants provide their tequilas with their distinctive profile. Their portfolio includes every expression of tequila, from unaged to extra añejo.

Clase Azul Tequila Plata This unaged tequila captures the fresh essence of agave, beautifully showcased in a pristine, transparent decanter.

Clase Azul Tequila Reposado Masterfully aged in American oak casks; its hand-painted decanter is our brand’s artisanal insignia.

Clase Azul Tequila Gold A blend of Plata, a reposado aged in French oak, and an extra añejo finished in sherry casks. Its ceramic base is decorated by hand with 24-karat gold.

Clase Azul Tequila Añejo

Aged over two years in American oak casks, its painted 24-karat gold design symbolizes the agave’s transformation into tequila.

Clase Azul Tequila Ultra Aged over five years, this extra añejo reaches sublime depth in a decanter decorated with platinum by our finest artisans.

MEZCALS

Crafted with artisanal and regional traditions, Clase Azul’s mezcals are imprinted by the lands they come from. Currently, the brand has three mezcal icons. These are made in three Mexican states using local artisanal techniques and agave varieties endemic to each region.

Clase Azul Mezcal Durango Crafted from cenizo agave in Durango’s semi-arid mountains, with a colorful handcrafted cap adorned by beaded floral and geometric designs.

Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero Made with Guerrero’s native papalote agave, this mezcal’s vibrant lacquered cap features hand-painted hummingbirds.

Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis Potosí Crafted with green agave from San Luis Potosí, this mezcal’s yarn-wrapped cap depicts red finches over a desert landscape.
