This high-rye, high-proof bourbon is as intense as the Texas landscape that it comes from. It is made from Texas-grown corn and water sourced from deep local underground aquifers. The mash bill is packed with rye for a peppery spice to complement the sweetness of the corn. Aged in new, charred American white oak barrels for six years in the Texas heat, it offers a dark, rich, and hearty character.
This unique bourbon honors the legacy of Charles Goodnight, a legendary Texas ranger, rancher, and cattleman. He is also the great-great uncle of Bill Foley, the founder of Foley Family Wines and Spirits. Before founding this multi-generational company, Mr. Foley graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served in the U.S. Air Force, where he attained the rank of captain. As a proud veteran and life-long supporter of our servicemen and women, he is also the Chairman of The Folded Flag Foundation – an organization that provides educational scholarships and support grants to the spouses and children of the U.S. military and government personnel who gave their lives in service of their country.
