SIA Scotch Whisky is a female-founded blend and an extraordinary scotch whisky distinguished by its sweetly aromatic and refreshingly smooth characteristics. The brand was launched in 2012 thanks to the support of visionary consumers who trusted the founder’s unexpected take on whisky and crowdfunded the brand. SIA Scotch bottles first appeared on shelves in 2013.

Distilled, blended, matured, and bottled in Scotland, SIA Scotch Whisky is a multi-award-winning brand, scoring an impressive 96 points at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge (2016) and a Double Gold at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition (2014), called "one of the best in its style" by Whisky Advocate Magazine (2015), and the Platinum Winner of the 2023 ASCOT Awards.

The founder, Carin Luna-Ostaseski, is the first Cuban American entrepreneur to launch a scotch whisky in the US. After endless blending trials and several tasting events, she realized that the spirits market was lacking an ultra-premium yet accessible and versatile scotch whisky that invites people to have experiences outside of the expected occasions.

Her vision was to change the way people thought about this spirit. One where the standards of “conventions” don’t apply. A drink that is not only for your grandfather to sip neat on his porch while smoking a cigar, but also for those on the hunt for anything new and different that will help them shake up their monotony and stand out – a scotch whisky for the outsiders.

As a Hispanic woman entrepreneur venturing into a male-dominated industry, Carin had to walk a very lonely path by leaving her 17-year professional career as a marketing creative director to become an avid student of scotch whisky and the beverage industry, immersing herself in the business, spending time with distillers and even earning her bartending license among a myriad of other challenges.

SIA Scotch is a brand founded by an outsider with a contagious entrepreneurial spirit daring to break barriers and create something that welcomes drinkers across different categories – a drink that makes others feel seen!
