As a leader in the wine industry, Kendall-Jackson is committed to sustainability – we believe making great wine starts with respect for the land, supporting local communities, and sustaining this family wine company for future generations.

CLIMATE LEADER – Kendall-Jackson has decreased carbon emissions by 9.6% since 2015, while helping advance climate action across the global wine industry as co-founders of International Wineries for Climate Action.

SOLAR – Kendall-Jackson wines are vinted and bottled with one of the largest solar portfolios in the U.S. wine industry, totaling 15,000 solar panels across our winemaking operations.

LIGHTWEIGHTING GLASS BOTTLES – We lightweighted our glass bottles used for Kendall-Jackson Vintners Reserve Chardonnay, from 18.5 oz in 2016 to its current weight of 16.5 oz.  This 5% decrease in weight has resulted in emission reductions of 1,514 metric tons of CO2, the equivalent of taking 337 gas powered vehicles off the road each year.  We also moved to more recycled glass material, which now makes up approximately 50% of the glass we use.

WATER – Kendall-Jackson has reduced its winery water usage by 37% since 2015, saving approximately 4.8 million gallons of water every year.

ZERO WASTE – Over 95% of our waste is diverted from landfills, ensuring that we recycle and compost at all facilities.

LAND – 100% of our estate vineyards and wineries are California Certified Sustainable under the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance Program. We are also transitioning all of our vineyards to regenerative farming by 2030.

Today, Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay has been the #1 selling Chardonnay in the US for 32 years!
