Mexico

With the exception of a few dark beer styles, this is pilsner territory. Best served cold. Perhaps with a slice of lime?

About Mexican Beers

Mexico’s beer history is influenced by Aztec fermented beverages and also by the Spanish, who introduced lager beer to Mexico in the 16th C. However, Mexican beer culture didn’t really take hold until after the War of Independence, when beer-drinking European and U.S. immigrants began to arrive in large numbers. Today, Mexico is one of the world’s largest beer exporters with the United States importing more beer from Mexico than all other countries combined. Typically of a Bohemian nature (think pilsner or Dunkel and you’re on the right track), Mexican beers tend to be light and refreshing.
