Beer-battered fish tacos are a classic and delicious dish. The beer batter adds a light and crispy texture to the fish, making it the perfect filling for tacos.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beer (light lager or pale ale)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Corn tortillas
  • Shredded cabbage
  • Sliced radishes
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges

Directions

In a bowl, whisk together flour, beer, baking powder, salt, and pepper to create the batter. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large skillet to 375°F (190°C).

Dip each fish fillet into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then carefully place it in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Warm corn tortillas and assemble tacos with beer-battered fish, shredded cabbage, sliced radishes, and fresh cilantro. Serve with lime wedges.
