Nothing says summer like firing up the grill and hanging out with friends and family. This drink, which features juicy grilled peaches, is perfect for grilling and chilling out on a hot summer day.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 half peach, grilled
  • 1 ½ ounces brandy or aged rum
  • ½ ounce orange vermouth
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • ¾ ounce Demerara Syrup (or simple syrup made with turbinado sugar)
  • 4–5 mint leaves
  • Ginger beer, to top
  • Fresh mint, for garnish

 

Directions

Brush the peach half lightly with olive oil. Using an outdoor grill or grill pan, grill each side over medium heat for 4–5 minutes. Let cool.

 

In a cocktail shaker, muddle grilled peach. Add remaining ingredients and ice. Shake well, and double strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice.

 

Top with a splash of ginger beer and garnish with mint.
