This cocktail combines the floral notes of rose, the sweetness of strawberries, and the classic elegance of gin.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz strawberry syrup (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 egg white (optional, for a frothy texture)
  • Edible rose petals (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Directions

In a saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and water.

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Once the sugar is dissolved and the strawberries are soft, remove from heat.

Allow the mixture to cool, then strain it to separate the syrup from the strawberry solids. Set aside the strawberry syrup.

In a cocktail shaker, combine gin, fresh lemon juice, strawberry syrup, and egg white (if using).

Dry shake (without ice) vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to emulsify the egg white and create a frothy texture.

Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 10-15 seconds to chill the mixture.

Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass.

Garnish the cocktail with edible rose petals for a romantic touch.

Note: If you don't want to use raw egg white, you can substitute with pasteurized egg white or omit it altogether. The egg white adds a silky texture to the cocktail.
