Rum glazed shrimp with crispy vegetables is simply delicious.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup dark rum
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Vegetables of your choice (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas)
  • Cooked rice for serving
     

Directions

Mix rum, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and cornstarch to create the glaze.

 

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat.

 

Stir-fry shrimp and vegetables until shrimp are pink and vegetables are crisp-tender.

 

Pour the rum glaze over the shrimp and vegetables, tossing to coat.

 

Serve over cooked rice.
