Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine (like Merlot or Tempranillo)
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur
  • 1 cup sliced fresh oranges
  • 1 cup sliced fresh lemons
  • 1 cup whole cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (optional, to taste)
  • 1 cup club soda or lemon-lime soda
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
  • Ice cubes, for serving

Directions

In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, cranberry juice, and orange liqueur.

Add the sliced oranges, lemons, and whole cranberries to the mixture.

If you prefer a sweeter taste, stir in sugar until dissolved.

Chill the sangria in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld.

Just before serving, add the club soda for a refreshing fizz.

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sangria over the ice.

Garnish with fresh mint leaves and additional citrus slices if desired.
