Packed with winter berries and warming spices, it's a delightful drink to share with loved ones during holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of red wine
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3-4 whole cloves
  • 1-2 cups ginger ale or club soda, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh rosemary for garnish

Directions

In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and honey or maple syrup. Stir until the sweetener dissolves.

Add the sliced orange, cranberries, blackberries, cinnamon stick, and whole cloves to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.

Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.

Just before serving, add chilled ginger ale or club soda to the sangria for a fizzy finish.

Pour the red berry sangria into glasses over ice.

Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh rosemary for a festive touch.
