This spiced bourbon apple crisp is a warm, indulgent treat perfect for fall. Tart, juicy apples are tossed with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a splash of bourbon, then topped with a buttery oat crumble. Baked until golden and bubbling, this dessert is best served warm with vanilla ice cream.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and bourbon until evenly coated.
Transfer the apple mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
In another bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, granulated sugar, melted butter, and salt. Stir until crumbly.
Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the apples are bubbly.
Let cool slightly, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
