The combination of succulent chicken breasts, aromatic garlic, and zesty lemon, all simmered in a flavorful white wine sauce, creates a dish that's both sophisticated and comforting. The white wine not only infuses the dish with depth but also adds a subtle acidity that perfectly balances the richness of the chicken. Serve this dish over a bed of pasta or with crusty bread to soak up every bit of the delicious sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

Sear the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Pour in the white wine, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits.

Add lemon juice and chicken broth, allowing the mixture to simmer for a few minutes.

Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.

Cover and simmer over medium heat until the chicken is cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.

Stir in unsalted butter to enrich the sauce.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley just before serving.

Serve and Enjoy:
